While most of us use credit or debit cards in our daily life to pay for groceries, restaurant bills or for drinks at a local bar, it is always good to have some cash handy, especially if you travel. If we take out larger sums at an ATM, we usually receive larger bills that we don't really want so how do you keep your cash safe?

1) Take smaller denominations of the currency

Smaller bills and coins allow you to leave a tip, buy water or that special street that you have read about at home or that souvenir you need to have .

2) Only take some cash on your daily explorations and leave the rest in the safe at your hotel or other accommodation.

Some even hide money in different place e.g. money belt and backpack

3) Carry a money belt or clothing with concealed pockets
